With 2020 behind us, at Alyce, we’ve been doing a lot of reflecting.

This year has pushed everyone to rethink how they do business, how they create and foster relationships, and what it means to be truly personal.

We’re proud of our customer and our internal team for adapting, rolling with the punches, and coming out of one of the hardest years we’ve ever seen more empathetic than ever.

A Better Sender Experience

We started off 2020 with the launch of our Marketo Integration – finally answering the dreaded direct mail question: “Have you seen the gift yet?”

And with the Marketo Integration came a more marketing-friendly way to send gifts, with Alyce gifting software.

A Better Recipient Experience

All year we thought about how we can make your gift recipients’ experience as delightful as possible.

First, we launched Video Landing Pages. 96% of buyers find video helpful when making purchase decisions online (Vidyard) and rank video as the #1 content asset they would like to see from brands (HubSpot).

So we thought, why not enable every marketer or sales rep to create a personal video they can use in their gifting campaigns.

Then, we realized that digital gifting should be a part of the overall customer journey, not just end the digital experience with gift recipients. 

So we launched the Post-Gift CTA, the easiest way to tee your prospects up for the next step in your relationship after they accept their gift.

A Better World

Since its inception, Alyce has always provided gift recipients the ability to donate their gift value to a charity of their choosing. But in January 2020 we introduced Charitable Donations as a gift option to send directly from our marketplace. Little did we know that charitable giving was about to have a massive impact on a massive year. 

Starting in Q2 and not slowing down for the rest of the year, we saw record-breaking charitable donation numbers across the board. Annual donations grew 350% from 2019 to 2020. Because of the charitably minded nature of our gift recipients, we began matching the most donated to cause each quarter in Q1 2020. 

The most donated-to cause in Q4 that will be matched was No Kid Hungry. This organization is working to solve the problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. With so many communities affected by the economic downturn this past year, No Kid Hungry provided countless meals to families in need. 

The entire Alyce team is proud to have delivered a way to amplify the ever-evolving passions of our ecosystem this past year.

Here’s to a more positive and more personal 2021

We’re grateful for the lessons we learned in 2020 and the way that our customers stepped up to the plate and gave back to their local and national communities. We couldn’t be more lucky to get to work with companies who are as passionate about making the world a better place as they are about fostering personal relationships with everyone they do business with. 

As we enter this new year, we hope to facilitate more relationships, create personal moments, and continue making the world a better place.
