Q: What has been your proudest moment working at Alyce?
My proudest moment working at Alyce so far has been my first deal. In sales, a big moment is getting that first deal and then just the continued success of that path.
Q: What originally drew you to Alyce?
It’s the culture. I came from a company that was recognized by Forbes for culture and saw that Alyce was too. Also Linkedin’s Top 50 startups, Boston Business Journal’s best companies to work for. I saw that Alyce had a lot of culture and that’s why I came here.
Q: What is your favorite part about working for Alyce?
The autonomy given to its employees. I’ve been remote for my entire time here and I’ve also dealt with some familial medical issues during my time at Alyce. My manager, leadership and the rest of the company have all been very kind and accommodating for that, which doesn’t always happen at companies. So that’s my favorite part of Alyce – that ability to be accommodating and give autonomy to its employees.
Q: If you could switch places with someone for the day, who would it be?
If I were to pick someone in history, it would probably be this woman named Zheng Yi Sao. She’s this really interesting individual where she had a fleet of 60,000 ships as a pirate in the early 1800s, and was able to fend off the East India Company and destroy an entire Chinese fleet and no one could stop her. They eventually just traded her off and she lived her life of luxury, but she’s just a huge badass of history and was able to fight every government that tried to take her out as a woman during a time where it was really tough to be a woman. So if i could trade places with her for a day, that would be a fun one.
Q: What’s the best gift you’ve ever been given?
When I was 15 or 16, I was given a wrestling mat. At the time I had traveled the world a little bit for wrestling and was really committed to it. I didn’t know I was gonna get it, it was a surprise. It was one of the first gifts that I really wanted and was really surprised to get, so I think that’s why it was the best for me.
