At Alyce, we incorporate a āgive firstā mindset into everything we do as a company. Since the release of our donation-based gifting functionality in January 2020, our platform users have contributed well into the six figures to charitable organizations. To stretch the impact of these contributions, we also launched the Alyce Match Program this year which matches the funds of the most donated-to organization each quarter.
This summer continued to see unprecedented disturbance across the globe; from the Coronavirus pandemic to the Black Lives Matter movement, to record-setting wildfire destruction in California, communities far and wide have been dramatically impacted by this unsettling disruption. Alyce platform users capitalized on the opportunity to lend support where possible this quarter and we saw platform-wide donations climb nearly 230% over Q3 2019 contributions.Ā
As protests and passionate activism to combat racial inequalities continues to pulsate through our communities, the support for this movement has made Black Lives Matter the most contributed to the organization in Q3. Alyce is proud to stand beside an organization committed to fighting for freedom, liberation, and justice for Black communities.
In addition to matching donations to BLM, we also made a commitment to amplifying the support we saw across the platform for the California wildfires. In August we added four organizations to our charitable marketplace that directly impact disaster relief efforts in California. While Alyce is East Coast-born, we hold California, which is home to over 30% of our customer base, near to us. Alyce has made matching donations to Americares, Direct Relief, American Red Cross, and GlobalGiving to support our customers, partners, and friends impacted by these deadly fires.
The entire Alyce team is proud to deliver a platform that can amplify the ever-evolving passions of our ecosystem.
