Receiving a piece of direct mail can be a moment of delight! Or… it could be a total flop.
Either the piece of mail itself is irrelevant, or the unboxing experience itself falls flat.
At Alyce, we try to make sure that receiving a gift is the most delightful part of your day. Or week. Or month. And we try to make sure that experience stays fresh by offering a variety of gift invitation types.
One of our most popular is something we call, The Gallery Invite.
Back in May of 2019 we launched the Gallery Invite in partnership with ArtLifting, a Boston-based social enterprise and benefit corporation that empowers artists confronting homelessness and disability through the sale and celebration of their artwork.
In a sea of cardboard boxes and manilla envelopes, the Gallery Invite is a breath of fresh air. They allow Alyce users to delight and surprise while telling a story and doing some good.
Each of these boxes features the print of the original artwork from ArtLifting, with a story of the artist on the inside.
Not only are the boxes beautiful invitations, the box lid has a built-in tab for hanging. So the invitation itself is a “gift” that can be displayed (unlike traditional direct mail packaging that gets thrown right in the trash).
As of today, Alyce and Alyce customers have shipped over 25,000 Gallery invites to customers and prospects since they were introduced in May of 2019!
Not only is there more visibility into these amazing artists and their work, this means that all Alyce users have facilitated donating almost $40,000 to local art organizations through the use of these invitations!
At Alyce, we strive to make our packaging and delivery as sustainable and socially conscious as possible. One of our leadership principles is to gift first, and give consistently. Repeated authentic interactions deliver value and create relationships with everyone on the receiving end and the Gallery Invite is a great example of fulfilling that mission and a way our team enables our customers to give back.
Have you received a Gallery Invite and have the artwork hanging? We’d love to see it! Post a picture and tag us on twitter @AlyceGifts!
